Old Ghost emerging back from the pot ???
Are days of protests and agitation coming back? Railways cannot strictly implement this without providing sufficient travelling facility to commuters and other short distance passengers. Enough MEMU service throughout Keralam may be the answer.

An UTS System, costing several lacs, is lying at Punkunnam Station in unpacked boxes since February 2009 in spite of the intervention by the GM of Southern Railway himself.

Commuters Deprived of UTS Ticket Facility
The Railway Board has now put restrictions for availing unreserved ticketing system (UTS) tickets facility across the country. The UTS tickets, which were being issued three days in advance for any station earlier, will now be issued in the case of a journey beyond 200 km only.
Passengers intending to travel for less than 200 km need to purchase local tickets from the general counters for any station to carry out their journey.
