TRPA accorded warm welcome to the newly extended Intercity Express at Thrissur on 17/11/09 at 11.05 PM.
Presence of dignitaries including Shri. P.C.Chacko, M.P., Shri. Therambil Ramakrishnan, MLA, Shri. V.S.Sunil Kumar, MLA, Mayor Prof.R.Bindu, Corporation opposition leader Shri. I.P.Paul, Former MLAs Shri. T.V.Chandramohan, Shri. M.K.Kannan, Former Mayors Shri.Jos Kattookkaran, Shri.K.Radhakrishnan enlightened the occasion.
The train will run on temporary basis from this day onwards till 20/01/2009. We expect it would become a permanent arrangement very soon.
The train timings at Thrissur is at 03.38 on its run towards Thiruvananthapuram and at 23.00Hrs. on its return trip.

Good news on extension of Intercity to Guruvayur.
ReplyDeleteI feel timings at Guruvayur are odd now. The train may be upgraded to superfast with 415am departure from Guruvayur and arrival 945am at Trivandrum. On return, depart from Trivandrum 510pm and arrive Guruvayur 1050pm.
Subsequently, the name of the train may be changed to Guruvayur superfast express.

ReplyDeleteStop has already been declared for Chalakudi & Angamaly. Irinjalakuda must also get a stop. Then only the utility of this train for the entire Thrissur district will be complete.
